A year of questioning of what we should do in the LLM era

My research field of natural language processing (NLP) has become increasingly dynamic since OpenAI launched ChatGPT about two years ago. As an NLP researcher at Money Forward lab, I have struggled with concerns such as whether there are still meaningful works for NLP researchers in Money Forward, because it seems the all NLP issues might be solved with OpenAI APIs. In this LT, I will share the NLP challenges we have faced at Money Forward, based on more than 30 interviews with various stakeholders inside and outside the company over the past year.
